Beam continuously rates all project vendors, installers and equipment manufacturers using an objective evidence-based methodology. Vendors are evaluated across fifteen weighted metrics, anchored by Beam’s on-site quality audit of previously completed projects, as well as vendor financial health, project experience, insurances, certifications, customer feedback, and quality systems. All major solar, battery and electrification equipment manufacturers are evaluated across key criteria including experience, market position, bankability, warranties, and modern slavery compliance.

All vendors on Beam’s platform are prequalified and must have current industry certifications, current insurances, minimum period of experience and evidence of target project sizes and complexity.
Vendor Ratings
Vendors are objectively and quantitatively rated based on more than fifteen weighted metrics that we believe are a good predictor of future project quality, performance and support. This includes financial health, contract attributes, project management ability, internal systems and policies, and customer feedback.
Overall Project Rating
The overall project rating is a combination of the vendor, equipment, and specific system ratings for your energy transition project. Make informed procurement decisions guided by Beam’s vendor and equipment ratings.
Audit-backed Ratings
The most important component of vendor ratings is the project quality rating. Beam completes a physical quality audit of a completed solar, battery or electrification project, inspecting over 100 project attributes against rigorous best practise criteria to provide an overall quality rating for that project. The quality audit rating has the highest weighting in the overall vendor rating and has been completed for more than twenty projects for some vendors.
Equipment Ratings
Beam has a rigorous and continuous rating system for solar, battery and electrification equipment manufacturers that distils equipment quality, performance and support in a single rating for easy comparison. More than twenty quantifiable metrics inform equipment ratings, including company bankability, tenure and volume tier, warranties and support, and independent testing of equipment under harsh conditions.
Initial Offers
Beam manages the procurement process on your behalf. We take your project and preferences and invite eligible vendors to submit compliant offers through Beam’s platform. You receive 5-15 offers for your project, aligned with your preferences and Beam’s best practice requirements. All aspects of the offer are rated, including vendor, equipment, and warranties, and offered project savings are independently calculated by Beam so you can make an objective data-driven comparison of offers. View, compare and select offers in the Offers View to contract, shortlist or defer your energy transition project. All projects start procurement with Initial Offers, with most small projects contracting directly from an Initial Offer and larger projects shortlisting for Detailed Offers procurement.

Ranked Offers
All aspects of the offer are rated, including vendor, equipment, and warranties, and offered project savings are independently calculated by Beam so you can make an objective data-driven comparison of offers.
Detailed Offers
Detailed Offers is the next stage of Beam's procurement process for larger or more complex projects. After shortlisting 3–4 vendors from your Initial Offers, Beam issues an expanded project brief and facilitates a site inspection with shortlisted vendors. Vendors submit detailed, site-verified offers including detailed system designs and responses to additional equipment, project, and contract questions — scoped to your exact site conditions, configuration, and requirements. All offers are rated at a granular level, with over forty offer metrics scored, including a ‘System Rating’ based on a Beam engineer’s review of the system design and practicality. Offers are ranked and compared in the Offers View with savings independently calculated by Beam, giving you a final, objective basis to select your vendor and proceed to contract.
Detailed Offers is for organisations with larger, higher-value or more complex energy transition projects where a site inspection and additional scoping and evaluation are needed before contracting. If you've completed Initial Offers and shortlisted vendors but need greater certainty on costs, design and deliverability before making a final investment decision, Detailed Offers gives you that confidence.

Larger or more complex projects require a greater level of detail in the evaluation of offers and vendor selection. Site conditions, access constraints and project-specific variables can all affect cost, design and feasibility — and these only become clear with a site inspection, additional offer questions and a review of offered system designs by a qualified engineer. Detailed Offers closes that gap. Shortlisted vendors visit the site, respond to project-specific requirements and submit final offers that reflect the full reality of your project. Every offer is standardised, independently rated and directly comparable — so when you make your final decision, it's grounded in verified detail rather than assumptions.
